It was a one-day national event, with over 130 apprentices taking part across the country. This year's event was themed around Net Zero with each activity designed to help individuals to develop successful workplace behaviours.
Three of our apprentices took part in the event, Laura Kenton, Business Services Officer completing a Team Leader Apprenticeship, Fern Arnold in Highways completing a Highways Maintenance Skilled Operative Apprenticeship and Edwin Taylor completing an Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship.
All our apprentices did a fantastic job representing Derbyshire County Council. We received positive feedback from our apprentices.

I enjoyed meeting and working with the other apprentices at the event. Learning about the diversity of roles within local government was very interesting and made me more aware of the role that council plays in everyday life. I also developed my ability to think and plan as a team and the event helped solidify the idea of what it means to be an apprentice within local government.
