This annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships, brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
This year’s theme is ‘Skills for Life’, reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills. The number of new apprenticeships available in digital, data, green, environmental and technology roles is increasing and developing in new and innovative areas and we want to be at the forefront of this.
Within the council, we have 325 employees completing a wide range of apprenticeships at different academic levels, which is approximately 2% of our workforce.
We feel proud that our apprenticeship numbers are continuing to grow and to show our support for National Apprenticeship Week, we’ll be sharing information, facts and stories throughout the week through our internal communication channels and our external social media channels.
