The annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships returns for 2024. It brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.
The theme for the week is unchanged from last year - Skills for Life. This is to build on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge needed for a rewarding career and for businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.
The number of new apprenticeships available in digital, data, green, environmental and technology roles is increasing and developing in new and innovative areas and we want to be at the forefront of this.
Within the council, we continue to have a wide range of apprenticeships being completed at different academic levels, by approximately 2% of our workforce.
