A message from Executive Director, Jane Parfrement 23 September 2020

24 September 2020

As you will have seen, last night the Prime Minister announced a number of measures in response to the increasing rates of coronavirus infection being seen across the country.

Whilst Derbyshire is not currently experiencing the level of cases being seen elsewhere in the UK, numbers are rising and it’s important we do everything we can to help bring the infection rate down.

The Government’s announcement reinforces the information given on Monday 14 September regarding being present in the workplace and working at home. Our many colleagues who are present in the workplace will continue to be so for now under the current guidance (with any future changes being discussed with them by their line managers) and all occupied buildings have been thoroughly risk assessed and given Covid-safe status. Those colleagues who are working at home should continue to do so until the end of January 2021 as was previously stated.

Work to prepare meeting rooms and touchdown spaces for use continues and we will review the latest Government guidance once that work is complete to assess whether we can make those spaces available to colleagues as was intended. In the meantime, meetings should continue to be held virtually.

We are continually reviewing the changes to national guidance to ensure that we keep colleagues and our communities as safe as possible during the ongoing pandemic. If you have any concerns regarding your working arrangements please talk to your manager.
