Anti-fraud and corruption

24 July 2025

We maintain an anti-fraud and anti-corruption strategy which details:

  • our zero-tolerance to fraud and corruption in all its forms
  • how we seek to prevent fraud happening and identify when it does
  • your responsibilities in relation to the reporting of suspected fraud or corruption, and how to do this
  • how allegations of fraud and corruption will be investigated

This document is refreshed annually and was most recently approved by the audit committee on 15 July 2025. Please take the time to read the strategy to understand our approach to fraud and corruption and your role in its prevention and detection.

You can find out more on the fraud prevention e-learning available through Derbyshire Learning Online.

Remember, if you have concerns, or, if something just doesn't feel right, please contact internal audit by emailing reportfraud@derbyshire.gov.uk or telephone: 01629 533334 to discuss it further.
