The scheme recognises employers who actively create supportive environments for members of the Armed Forces community.
As a Silver Award holder, we’re already recognised for things like offering extra leave for reservist training, supporting mobilisation, recruiting and retaining veterans, and providing flexible support for military families.
To achieve Gold, we need to show we’re going even further. That means leading by example, actively supporting reservists and cadets, promoting opportunities, and putting strong, practical policies and partnerships in place that make a real difference.
To help us get there, we’d like to better understand our Armed Forces community.
If you’re a veteran, reservist, cadet force adult volunteer, or a military spouse or partner, please take a couple of minutes to complete our short form by 30 July, 2026.
Interim Executive Director for Place, Claire Brailsford, our corporate lead for Armed Forces matters, said: “Supporting the Armed Forces community is an important part of who we are as an organisation. "We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we’re committed to building on this and making a lasting difference. If you’re part of the Armed Forces community, please complete the form and help strengthen our Gold application.”
