Wellbeing Champions play a vital role in creating a positive workplace culture. By giving just one to 4 hours a month, you can make a real difference by helping to promote wellbeing activities, sharing key messages, and signposting colleagues to support and resources when they need them.
You don't need to be an expert in health or wellbeing. What matters most is enthusiasm, good communication, and a genuine interest in supporting others. This role is designed to fit alongside your day‑to‑day job, with manager support, and offers a great opportunity to:
- help improve wellbeing in your team and service
- raise awareness of council wellbeing initiatives and campaigns
- connect colleagues with support, activities and resources
- develop skills such as communication, engagement, and leadership
- be part of a supportive wellbeing network of like‑minded colleagues
Wellbeing Champions come from all areas of the council, bringing different ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Whether you enjoy organising small activities, sharing information, or simply being a friendly point of contact, there's a role for you.
If you are interested, have the backing from your line manager and you can spare a little time each month, we'd love to hear from you.
