Busy Bees Childcare Vouchers

22 May 2020

If you currently pay for Busy Bees Childcare Vouchers through a direct deduction from your monthly pay and you require this to be amended, either temporarily or permanently, due to changes in childcare provision, you can do so by logging onto your Busy Bees account.

Once logged on you can amend the amount that is deducted from your salary by clicking on ‘Salary Deduction Request’.  You will be provided with various options (change my current order; cancel all my orders immediately; schedule order change; schedule order cancellation; schedule voucher holiday).

From April 2017 the government began the role out of the Tax Free Childcare Scheme to replace the Childcare Voucher Scheme. Research shows that 80% of parents are better off with the previous Childcare Voucher Scheme although this depends on your family circumstances. You should note that if you currently use the Childcare Voucher Scheme and you wish to remain in this scheme (which is closed to new entrants) you must continue with deductions, although this can be as little as £10 per month.

Please note that any amendments would need to be made on the Busy Bees site before 08 June 2020, 08 July 2020 or 06 August 2020 for the changes to be effective in your June 2020, July 2020 or August 2020 pay respectively.
