Our carer’s emergency card can help you feel more prepared in an emergency for example, if you become poorly or are admitted to hospital.
By carrying the card, it can alert emergency services and anyone else who might help you in an emergency, that someone relies on you.
Your card will have a unique reference number and a contact number for our call centre team who can help you arrange support for the person you care for based on the information you have provided in your emergency plan.
As part of the application process, we’ll ask for your details, what you'd like to happen if you're unable to carry out your caring role, the details of the person you care for and what care you provide. You can also nominate emergency contacts such as family members who can assist in your absence.
