Celebrating Learning Disability Week in Derbyshire

12 June 2026

Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service is celebrating Learning Disability Week 2026.

This year's theme, 'Do you see me?', is a powerful reminder to recognise, value and listen to people with a learning disability, ensuring they are seen, heard, included and respected in every part of society.

Our supported learning provision will take centre stage to showcase the incredible achievements, creativity and individuality of learners.

During the week – which runs from 15 to 21 June – there will be community and family engagement events, inclusive activities and taster sessions as well as displays of artwork, photography and poems.

There will also be a series of events held in Glossop, Clay Cross, Swadlincote and Cotmanhay to bring together learners, families, carers, staff and partner organisations to celebrate inclusive learning and community.
