Colleagues from fostering, kinship care, private fostering and non-agency adoption shared their successes and their ambitions for our children, carers and families.
They recognised their collective achievements over the last two years and also discussed the impact of the reforms proposed by Children’s Minister Josh MacAlister to the fostering system.
Highlights also included celebrating recent successes in recruiting more carers as well as looking at how the service could continue to develop.
Head of Fostering Rebecca Knight said:
“Our service day was a powerful moment of reflection, celebration and shared ambition.
It was an energising and celebratory day that highlighted how far we have come, how committed all our teams are to supporting children and young people and the future we are building together.”
