Changes to Copilot Chat

If you’re a Copilot Chat user, from 15 April you’ll no longer be able to access Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint or OneNote.

This will help to improve performance and reliability for users who don’t need advanced, in-app features.

You don’t need to do anything, and there’s no change to our AI policy.

• Copilot Chat is still available
• You can still create files from Chat
• Council data protection remains in place.
