Climate change and sustainability training - book now

25 November 2021

With our climate strategy now in place setting out where in the county our carbon emissions come from and what needs to change to address this, environmental considerations are even more important in all that we do - at work and at home.

That's why we're running a series of staff training sessions about climate change and sustainability.

The online sessions, run by Caroline Toplis and Denise Ludlam who are leading our carbon reduction work, will last 2 hours and are designed to provide you with:

  • an understanding of the science of climate change and the likely changes in global and local climates
  • the key actions which need to be taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to a changing climate
  • knowledge of how you can support the council in reducing emissions and preparing for a changing climate

Sessions will be held on:

  • Wednesday 8 December 2021 from 1pm to 3pm
  • Monday 31 January 2022 from 10:30am to 12:30pm
  • Thursday 31 March 2022 from 2pm to 4pm
  • Tuesday 24 May 2022 from 1pm to 3pm
  • Friday 8 July 2022 from 10am to midday
  • Wednesday 7 September 2022 from 1pm to 3pm
