Copilot Chat – a brilliant start

Since launching Copilot Chat to all staff in September, we’ve seen a fantastic response across the council. From workshops and drop-ins to real-world use, it’s clear that Copilot is helping us work smarter, faster, and more creatively.

What’s happened so far

1,700 workshop attendees across 19 sessions, with brilliant engagement from teams in every department
hundreds of hours saved through document summarisation, meeting support, Excel formula generation, and creative content drafting
176,000 prompts submitted in the past 90 days, 26,000 of which were from the past week alone
521 daily active users over the past 7 days

What colleagues are saying

Feedback from our surveys and workshops shows that Copilot Chat is helping people:

save time (up to 10 hours a week!)
improve clarity and tone when communicating
generate CPD evidence and training materials
summarise complex documents and meeting transcripts
create formulas and automate tasks in Excel
