Could you put up a poster and help us change the life of a local child?

17 May 2023

This week is the first of Foster Care Fortnight - an annual campaign to highlight the importance of foster carers and encourage people to think about fostering.

Fostering is a vitally important service which provides support and a safe space to children at a very vulnerable and difficult time in their lives. We have children across Derbyshire waiting for their foster families and we need your help to encourage more local people to consider fostering.

We’re asking colleagues to simply put up a poster to help us reach more local people. You could put it up in your window at home, on your local church noticeboard, in your child’s football club - anywhere that could help us be seen across Derbyshire.

There are a couple of ways to do this - you can download and print the poster yourself by means of the PDF attached to this page, you can pick up a poster from a table at reception in County Hall, or you can request a copy (or multiple copies) to be posted to you, email Keziah.limer@derbyshire.gov.uk.

Find out more about fostering, and the training, benefits and financial support carers receive.

Together we can make a big difference to children in Derbyshire - thank you for your support.
