Council mobile phones - software downloads and security updates

From 2 November, council mobile phones will only download software and security updates when connected to wifi. We’re making this change to reduce mobile data usage and associated costs.

To make sure your phone continues to receive important updates, please connect regularly to wifi. You can use:

• GovWifi – once set up, your phone will reconnect automatically when you are in a location where GovWifi is available
• Derbyshire guest wifi – available in our buildings, but you will need to connect each time.Your home wifi
• Keeping your phone up to date is important to ensure it remains secure and continues to work correctly.
