Dealing with the media

Please remember that if you are approached by the media asking for information, a comment, or an interview, this must always be referred to the communications team.

You should not speak to the media on our behalf unless you have had prior approval.

The communications team will ensure that any enquiry is discussed with elected members to agree the most appropriate response and / or interviewee. Officers may – on occasion – be asked to deliver an interview when detailed technical knowledge is required.
