Derbyshire Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) development workshop

17 August 2022

The Public Health department is inviting all our Derbyshire colleagues to join us for a 'Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) development workshop'.

The workshop set up by our Knowledge and Intelligence Team, will discuss recent engagement survey findings on how people use the JSNA; how we can work together in creating the JSNA, and view the developing self-serve portal.

They take place on the following dates:

  • 26 September 2022 on Teams, from 1pm to 4pm
  • 28 September 2022 on Teams, from 2pm to 5pm
Register on a JSNA event

The JSNA is a statutory process for NHS and local government to assess current and future health and social care needs for the community. It informs both strategic planning of services and commissioning intentions.

Derbyshire is improving the processes and technology behind the JSNA. Engagement with stakeholders through surveys and presentations has highlighted a passion and agreement to develop joint approaches to creating local knowledge and intelligence.

More about the workshops

An in-depth scoping and options appraisal for the JSNA by Derbyshire Public Health Knowledge and Intelligence Team identified good practice, structures, platforms, and processes. The work has informed this transformation programme and highlighted a need for system wide engagement. and development areas for the Derbyshire JSNA.

Derbyshire Public Health with Joined Up Care Derbyshire and Derby City are exploring innovative methods for developing shared ownership and use of JSNA platforms, data, and intelligence. We want you to be part of this transformation programme by exploring and testing these methods.
