Trees act like sponges which suck carbon emissions out of the air so the more we plant, the more climate-changing greenhouse gases will be removed from the atmosphere.
We’re looking for businesses and organisations which would like to support the initiative through sponsorship, partnerships, contributing trees, planting and volunteering – please help to spread the word in your community.
If you live in Derbyshire and have planted a tree at home or elsewhere in the county since June 2021 it can count towards our million trees target. Please add your tree to our totaliser on the million trees website. It’s quick and easy to do!
And if you or your service has planted a tree at work since June 2021, or if you think there might be space to a plant a tree at your place of work other than County Hall then please get in touch at milliontrees@derbyshire.gov.uk
Could you volunteer to plant trees in your area to help reduce the impact of climate change and create new habitats for wildlife? If so, please get in touch at www.milliontrees.co.uk/get-involved/volunteers or email milliontrees@derbyshire.gov.uk
