Do you have a work mobile phone?

5 May 2026

We're reviewing staff mobile phones that are still in circulation. To make sure our records are accurate and devices are up to date and up to standard, please complete the mobile phone information form for any mobile phones you still have.

You'll need to tell us what make and model of phone you have. If you don't know, just follow these steps:

Go to settings in the menu of your phone (cog icon):

  1. Scroll down and tap about phone
  2. Look for model name or device name (for example, Samsung Galaxy J6).

On non-smart phones:

  1. Turn the phone off (optional but recommended).
  2. Remove the back cover and the battery
  3. Look for a white label underneath the battery.

This label normally displays:

  • Make (for example, Nokia)
  • Model number (for example, Nokia 105, Nokia 301, Nokia 6300)
  • IMEI number

Older handsets no longer receive security updates, have no warranty, and may pose operational or security risks if they're still being used. These devices need to be returned to asset management so we can make sure colleagues are equipped with secure, supported devices.

If we don't receive information about a device and it is found to be an older, unsupported handset, the associated phone number may be cancelled. The physical handset must still be returned to asset management, even if the number has been disconnected. This is so we can remove the device safely from use and record it correctly.

If you no longer need the mobile phone please and fill in a ICT return form and place it in the internal post to the asset management team.

Thank you for your co-operation.
