Next week is Know Your Numbers Week, which aims to raise awareness of the dangers of high blood pressure and encourages people to get their blood pressure checked.

High blood pressure doesn't have any obvious symptoms but it is a major cause of heart attack and stroke, and it can also lead to a number of serious long-term health conditions, such as cardiovascular disease and kidney disease.

Our Live Life Better team will be out and about all week across Derbyshire giving free blood pressure checks. They’ll also be at County Hall in Matlock and The Quad in Chesterfield:

• County Hall, Matlock, DE4 3AG: Monday 7 September from 9.30am to 3.30pm and Wednesday 9 September from 10am to 4pm.
• The Quad, Dock Walk, Chesterfield S40 2GQ: Friday 11 September from 10am to 4pm
