We're encouraging people aged over 40 to get a free blood pressure check during Know Your Numbers week which runs from 8 to 14 September.
High blood pressure rarely has any symptoms which is why it is called the ‘silent killer’. The only way to know you have the condition is to get your blood pressure measured.
If you're over 40 you can get your blood pressure checked for free with an NHS health check at your GP surgery, at most pharmacies and in some workplaces too.
