Don't forget to complete your counter terrorism training

17 March 2022

Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to complete the Prevent (counter terrorism) training. We've now trained around 8,000 colleagues. But we still need to ensure the remaining 2,200 staff have completed their mandatory training as soon as possible.

We've had some really positive feedback on both the eLearning module and the webinar, which can be accessed as a live or pre-recorded session:

“Way more interesting and concise than other Prevent training I have done.”

“This is the best webinar training I have had, well organised and kept to time.”

“I think I was very oblivious to the need to keep my eyes open to such things. I am grateful that you have shown me how close to home this could be at any time.”

“This training was a real eye-opener for me - very informative, interesting and useful.”

“It is definitely a webinar which I would urge all of my colleagues to attend, as the threats of terrorism, both on a local and national level, are very real.”

Prevent (counter terrorism) training was made mandatory for all our employees in December 2020 and should be completed every 2 years. Please check your learning record on Derbyshire Learning Online to make sure you are up to date with your Prevent training.

If you'd like to join us on a live webinar, these run on a monthly basis and places can be booked on Derbyshire learning online. Don't forget to check that you're due to complete the training before you book. Current dates available:

  • 7 April 2022
  • 10 May 2022
  • 30 June 2022

There's more information about Prevent and how to access and complete the training.
