Employee survey – what we cannot take forward and why

During the engagement forums we’ve run across the four departments and at our organisation forum, we received lots of brilliant suggestions and ideas from colleagues about what we could do to make improvements. 


Work on many of these suggestions is already underway, as you’ll have seen from communications over these last few weeks. On review, it’s been decided that we can’t take forward all of the suggestions, so the briefing note below explains the reasons behind this.

We hope the answers here explain the reasons behind why some suggestions cannot be taken forward at this time but we would like to thank everyone for their ideas. Next week we will be sharing our new organisation action plan for 2022/23.

Please can all line managers ensure their teams are briefed on this communication, particularly those who do not have a Derbyshire County Council email address, or who don’t access it regularly. It’s important that we are updating all colleagues on what we’re doing to address their feedback from the employee survey.
