Extra restrictions for the Glossopdale area

14 October 2020

You will be aware that the Government has announced a new three-tier Covid alert system to help control the spread of coronavirus.

The Glossopdale area in Derbyshire is among those being put into Tier 2 and will be placed on ‘high’ alert from today. This means that additional restrictions are in place for people living it that area, including not socialising with anybody outside of your household or support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place.

If you live or work in the Glossopdale area you can continue to work in the same way that you have been doing. You should work from home if you can but where that is not possible, you must follow all Covid-safe measures that have been implemented at your place of work.

Read more about the local COVID alert levels, including what they mean, why they are being introduced and what the different levels are.

We've also just launched a new online post-code checker so you can check your area for coronavirus restrictions

During these times of change, please remember to look after your physical and mental wellbeing. Don’t forget that you have access to a range of support, including the employee assistance programme, our in-house mental health first aiders and the Thrive: mental wellbeing app.

Regardless of the Covid alert level where you live, everyone should continue to wash hands, stay apart and wear a face covering.
