Find out about and celebrate the Windrush Generation

Windrush Day is on 22 June 2022 and marks the date when the Empire Windrush arrived at Tilbury Docks in 1948, bringing more than 1,000 passengers from the Caribbean.

Join us on the day, between midday and 1pm, to learn more about Windrush and celebrate the Windrush Generation's many contributions to the local and British society, culture and economy.

We'll hear from the Chesterfield African Caribbean Community Association (ACCA) who will share a local perspective and learn about the history, experiences and current challenges of Chesterfield's Black community.
