The Members Room at County Hall became a Santa’s grotto with decorated trees, presents and a table full of food as well as festive fun and games, face painting and glitter.
Cabinet Member for Children and Families Councillor Sam Redfern also attended and met the team who worked incredibly hard to make everything perfect for the children and young people we look after.
Special thanks go to:
- mission Christmas and Cash for Kids Charity for the wonderful presents that brought so much happiness and all the amazing volunteers.
- business services post room for wrapping gifts and helping with transport
- commissionaires for all their hands-on help throughout the day.
- longshaw estate for donating 5 Christmas trees
- the DJ and Santa and his elf (AKA foster carers who donated their time)
- the fantastic team – particularly Donna Walsh, Kate Woodhouse, Megan Ferguson and Jade Louth – who helped wrap presents, ensuring the children had constant smiles on their faces throughout the day.
We’re always on the lookout for foster carers so if you, or someone you know, might be interested please encourage them to visit Foster for East Midlands.
