We have a number of pedestals available free of charge for colleagues to use at home. They could be used for storage or, if you’re feeling creative, upcycled into bedside tables.
There are various styles available, some are with wheels, some without, some are lockable and some aren’t. They also vary in height from 51cm to 72cm, width from 41cm to 43cm and depth from 50cm to 80cm. We will do our best to accommodate your specific preferences, we can’t however guarantee what pedestals will be available on the date of collection. We don’t have any other items of office equipment available.
These pedestals can’t be taken into our offices or returned. If you need lockable storge in your office, please email modernwaysofworking@derbyshire.gov.uk
The pedestals will be available to collect on Thursday 9 February and on Thursday 16 February 2023 at specific times from Chatsworth Hall in Matlock and are available on a first come, first served basis. If you’re interested in picking one up, please complete a pedestal request form and a member of the facilities team will get back to you to confirm your time slot.
Please note that you’ll be responsible for collecting the furniture in a suitably sized vehicle and for loading it in and out of that vehicle on the day.
When collecting you’ll be asked to sign a disclaimer form as the pedestal will then become your property and we will not be able to accept it back.
The pedestals have become available after office spaces were reorganised under our modern ways of working programme. If you are looking to use a pedestal for storing data at home, please make sure you follow all our information security guidance.
