Guidance for employees making travel claims

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic we introduced some interim travel claim guidance to reflect the temporary changes to the way some colleagues were having to travel. 


This interim guidance is no longer in place and all travel claims should now be made in line with the pre-COVID-19 travel claim guidance.

The main change relates to journeys from home to a place of duty and journeys home without going to a normal place of work.

The change will be backdated to 1 April 2022, however if you have made a claim since 1 April 2022 based on the interim guidance, please only amend your claim if the guidance we have reverted to is more beneficial. Please ensure all future claims are made in accordance with the travel claim guidance.
