Help young people make the right Cyber Choice

22 November 2024

Do you work with young people or young adults in Derbyshire? If so, it’s likely that the majority of them will be tech-savvy, but can you identify when that interest in IT becomes a concern and puts them at risk of committing cybercrime?

Do you know how you can help them?

Cyber Choices is a national early-intervention programme to work with tech-savvy young people who may be on the cusp of criminality, deterring them from cybercrime and helping them to make informed choices that will use their skills in a legal way, resulting in positive careers.

In December, our Community Safety Unit is delivering a series of free webinars with Derbyshire Police to explain the programme, how to spot the signs that someone may be vulnerable to exploitation or cyber-criminality, and how to make a referral.

These webinars were a huge success in 2023, and we have revamped them to refresh the knowledge of any returning delegates.
