All of these events are encompassed within 'Mode Shift Month' – a 30 day celebration dedicated to all things walking, wheeling, cycling, and journey-sharing by public transport or car.
So we are starting the month with a celebration of cycling.
Derbyshire has some fantastic cycle routes – check out our map and journey planning tool.
If you need a new set of wheels then take a look at the Cycle to Work Scheme which allows you to buy a bike tax-free.
You can also sign up to Love to Ride – it’s a great way to track your cycling progress and be in with the chance of winning some great prizes!
And anyone living in or around Belper might be interested to join this Family Bike Ride on Sunday 14 September.
So get pedalling this September – whether that’s the journey to work, a ride with the kids to school or exploring cycling trails. Share your adventures with us by dropping a comment or sending a photograph or pledge to sustainable.travel@derbyshire.gov.uk for our Mode Shift Month gallery.
And if cycling isn’t for you, join us next week for the wonder of walking!
