June is Pride Month

In the UK, Pride Month is celebrated in June. This is the time when the LGBTQ+ community comes together to celebrate their identities and advocate for equality. Pride Month is about acceptance, celebrating the work of LGBTQ+ people, education in LGBTQ+ history and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.

During Pride Month, various events and activities take place across the country, including parades, rallies, festivals, and educational initiatives to raise awareness and promote acceptance. However, the key Pride events in Derbyshire take place in Chesterfield on 19 July 2025, Belper on 2 August 2025, and Derby on 13 September 2025.
