From Tuesday 1 April 2025 we will be accepting applications to join the 2025 leadership apprenticeship cohorts.
Leadership apprenticeships support personal aspirations and continuous professional development, delivering benefits that are far reaching for the individual and employer. Successful participants:
- develop core leadership competencies and enhanced leadership confidence and performance
- achieve a leadership and management apprenticeship which, depending on level undertaken, could also include a qualification at HNC / HND, degree or post graduate level
- are supported in their academic progress with the benefit of a mentoring relationship throughout the duration of the programme (except level 3 apprentices who are not required to have a formalised mentor relationship)
The application window aligns with the start of the 2025 annual PDR cycle, so it also provides an ideal opportunity to discuss your development aspirations with your line manager and identify whether a leadership apprenticeship is suitable and can be supported at this time.
Our programme of leadership and management apprenticeships is delivered in partnership with the University of Derby (incorporating Buxton & Leek College) and Derbyshire Adult Community Education Services (DACES).
An apprenticeship is a nationally recognised and approved work-based training programme providing the opportunity to learn new skills both on and off the job. With funding covered by the Apprenticeship Levy, there is no personal financial cost for the learner or department.
