We’re creating 2 new opportunities to take part in our leadership apprenticeship programme in 2026 – a level 3 Team Leader or a level 5 Operations Manager apprenticeship.
An apprenticeship is a nationally recognised and approved work-based training programme providing the opportunity to learn new skills both on and off the job. With funding covered by the Apprenticeship Levy, there is no personal financial cost for the learner or department.
Applications for these 2 leadership apprenticeships are open until Monday 12 January 2026, ahead of programme start date of March 2026.
With the mid-year PDR period recently taking place, this provides an ideal opportunity to act on development aspiration discussions you will have had with your line manager, where a leadership apprenticeship may be a suitable option and can be supported at this time.

Our next leadership apprenticeship application window will open in May 2026 for level 3, 5 and 6 leadership apprenticeships ahead of September 2026 start dates. Because of changes in apprenticeship funding rules, the level 7 senior leadership apprenticeship is no longer available.
