Learn more about Prevent and how teams work together to safeguard vulnerable people

13 January 2023

Operation Explorer is a full day’s immersive training on Prevent and safeguarding roles, run by Derbyshire Police’s Prevent team. The training is created around a fictional case but based on real life concerns and incidents which have occurred in the East Midlands.

This free workshop centres around extreme right wing concerns and looks at the contribution all agencies can make and how we can work together to support those vulnerable to radicalisation or becoming involved in terrorism.
If you work in a safeguarding role or this forms part of your role and would like to attend one of these sessions, please email Joe Mills at Derbyshire Police, email: joseph.mills@derbyshire.police.uk

The workshops are on 16 February and 19 May and will be held at the joint Police and Fire Training Centre in Ripley between 9am and 4pm.

Further dates may be arranged to meet demand.

Delegate lists will be coordinated to ensure a range of roles and backgrounds are included into each day as this provides insights and learning for all attendees.

You will need permission from your line manager to book onto this workshop.
