The 12-week public consultation is aimed at all Derbyshire residents and we’re encouraging our employees to give their views on the proposals too.
You can find out more about the proposals contained in the draft strategy and take part in the consultation by filling in the questionnaire.
The proposals aim to keep library buildings open as well as creating a modern, agile, family-friendly and sustainable service, reflect changing patterns of library use, and support necessary budget savings.
More information about the draft strategy and a 'frequently asked questions' section is now live on the Place Hub following staff briefings held last month, and this will be kept up-to-date with new queries and responses. Employees can email additional questions or queries to library.consultation@derbyshire.gov.uk.
The public consultation runs until Saturday 2 November 2024.
The draft strategy can be found on the Cabinet meeting agenda, item 5, appendix 2.
