Blood in your urine is the most common symptom of bladder cancer. Less common symptoms include:
- a need to urinate on a more frequent basis
- sudden urges to urinate
- a burning sensation when passing urine.
It’s very important to visit your GP if you notice anything unusual as the earlier that bladder cancer is diagnosed, the more quickly it can be treated.
Our colleague Kimberley Greaves, acting senior transport officer, tragically lost her husband to bladder cancer last year and she has been bravely sharing her story to help raise awareness. You can read Kimberley’s blog or listen to the podcast both produced for Ashgate Hospice.
