Mind of My Own is a participation app that gives children and young people the opportunity to share their views, wishes and feelings in a fun and interactive way. Messages are sent directly to the professionals supporting them. The app is available to children and young people receiving social care support and can also be used by schools.
The event will highlight the difference Mind of My Own has made for children and young people across Derbyshire. It will showcase the latest developments of the app and include presentations and live demonstrations from the team on how to get the most out of it.
The session will provide insight into how Mind of My Own can be used to engage with children and young people in different ways, including younger children, adolescents, and those with SEND. It will explore how the tool supports participation, voice and meaningful engagement in day‑to‑day practice.
We'll be celebrating colleagues who are getting the most out of the app and offer advice and inspiration to colleagues who want to learn more about how it can support their work. There will also be time to network with colleagues, share learning, and access information about training opportunities and practical resources for practitioners.
This session is categorised as continuing professional sevelopment (CPD), meaning council staff are able to attend as part of their working duties, but please make sure you have your line manager's permission first.
Limited spaces available, don't miss out book your place now.
