Thank you to all of you who took part in a number of sessions throughout the week and for your feedback and suggestions how we can make these events better.
A recording of the dyslexia awareness session is now available. The session was by Dee Caunt, Chief Executive from the Dyslexia Association – a Nottingham-based charity providing support and services for dyslexic children and adults of all ages, their parents, families, educators, employers and the wider community.
The session is for anyone wishing to develop their knowledge and understanding of dyslexia. Whether you are an employee or a manager wanting to learn more or interested in support available.
You can also get the slides from the dyslexia awareness session.
We’re also running more sessions on autism awareness for statutory services. This free introductory course is available for anyone working for services in Derbyshire and is delivered monthly by Autism Information and Advice.
And there are more neurodiversity drop-in sessions planned – a safe and informal space for talking about neurodiversity in a peer support setting, sharing experiences and discussing ideas. You can drop in and leave as you wish. Bring your lunch, grab a brew and have a catch up.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for future dates.
