New learning and development opportunities

A new online learning and development programme is being planned. As courses become available they'll be added to Derbyshire Learning Online (DLO).


The live training sessions available include:

  • Microsoft Teams - Introduction to Microsoft Teams for beginners – an interactive supportive session

  • Microsoft courses delivered by Cloud Shed (providers of the Teams week events):

    • Introduction to Outlook
    • Introduction to Microsoft Word
    • Getting more from Microsoft Word
    • Introduction to Microsoft Excel
    • Introduction to PowerPoint
    • Outlook tips and tricks
  • Personal development delivered by Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service (DACES):

    • deaf awareness
    • introduction to managing stress
    • introduction to assertiveness
  • Emotional Health and Wellbeing – a new free monthly programme called Payday lunchtime lite-bite starting on 25 February 2021. Run by the Art of Being Brilliant, this is an opportunity to attend an inspiring, fun and informal session. It aims to boost your wellbeing and positivity, encourage you to laugh and learn through tough times.

To book your place please visit Derbyshire Learning Online then click on the 'core skills and knowledge' tile and search for specific courses through the subject tile or through the search function. Please use the exact title of the course, as above, to search for the course.

You may notice that Derbyshire Learning Online looks a little different. We're continuing to make DLO more accessible and your learning journey as easy as possible. We'll be making more changes as time progresses, so look out for further information.
