Our new Executive Director of Corporate Services and Transformation is appointed

We are delighted to announce that our new Executive Director of Corporate Services and Transformation, Joe O’Sullivan, will join the council in July 2022. Joe joins us following a long and active career in the military where he was a Brigadier and Chief of Staff of a large defence organisation, and more recently as a Transformation Director for the Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police Alliance.

Joe has significant experience, having led a multi-million pound change and investment programme for the chief constables of Warwickshire and West Mercia Police, and through a series of roles dealing with strategy and operational delivery in the Ministry of Defence and NATO. He is a graduate of both the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, where he also taught on the staff, and the Royal College of Defence Studies.

Joe's appointment will be formally notified to Full Council at its meeting on 25 May 2022.

Pete Handford, our current Interim Executive Director of Corporate Services and Transformation, will return to the role of Director of Finance and ICT once Joe joins us in July and we thank Pete for his work as Executive Director over the last 6 months.
