Performance development mid-year reviews

Our Performance Development Review (PDR) cycle runs throughout the year from April to March.


What you need to do

Your line manager will schedule your mid-year review meeting by the end of October 2025.  

To prepare for this discussion you should:

  • review your SMART PDR goals set in April and reflect on your progress to date
  • reflect on how you have demonstrated the council’s values in your work
  • review and update your personal development plan taking account of any new developmental areas
  • update your PDR with any feedback you have received.

What happens after your mid-year review meeting

You should write your mid-year review comments to summarise your discussion, either in the paper template (saved onto your HR file) or on the PDR app (for grade 14 and above).
