Between now and the end of April, all leaders who manage a team will need to hold year-end reviews with each of their team members.
Your teams will value the time you spend with them and remember, this is a great opportunity to recognise their achievements!
The PDR app should be completed for all senior leaders (who are grade 14 and above). Colleagues who use the PDR forms should complete their MS Word templates. All year-end reviews need to be complete by 30 April.
The 2024 launch for leadership apprenticeship applications is planned for April which you may want to discuss as part of the beginning of the year discussions.
We have a variety of guidance, documents and FAQs available to support you with your end of year meetings which can be found on Our Derbyshire or SharePoint.
PDR 2024 to 2025 new goal setting year
Please remember to schedule your new PDR 2024 review meetings by 31 May.
The start of the year is the opportunity to discuss expectations and agree goals for the coming year. It is very much a two-way process, with leaders drafting their proposals before the PDR meeting, and the line manager or colleague reviewing as part of their meeting preparation.
The meeting is to discuss, agree and amend goals ready for the year ahead. The discussion will also focus on short and long-term career aspirations and agreeing a Personal Development Plan (PDP) to support the achievement of both their goals and their career aspirations.
This should be both a supportive and challenging conversation. The PDR is not just a form to fill in, it’s a whole approach to discuss, agree, support, and manage performance.
PDR app users only G14+ leaders: The tab for App 2024 to 2025 is now live to enable you to enter new goals. These new goals must be entered onto the app by the individual and not the line manager.
The PDR template for line managers grade 13 and below is now available to download.
The PDR template for non-line manager PDR users is also now available to download.
