Please be careful if you see extremist stickers and posters

We have been alerted that some extremist groups are placing stickers and posters at locations throughout the country. Ideally we would like to see these materials removed but when staff have tried to lift stickers they found razor blades stuck to the back of them.

This is not a new tactic and has been used in the past as a way to deter people from removing them.

If you do find stickers and want to remove them, please be very careful as you can't see the blades until you start to remove them – please protect your hands and use tools when removing any items.

If you do find blades under any stickers or posters, please report it to the police and prevent@derbyshire.gov.uk so that we are able to work with police to identify the individuals or group responsible.
