Pride Network meeting to celebrate IDAHOBIT Day

14 May 2026

This Sunday, 17 May 2026, is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, and Biphobia – often shortened to IDAHOBIT. The day brings together communities to raise awareness of the issues facing LGBTQ+ people.

Here are some things you can do to mark the day:

  • complete the hate crime awareness training which is available on Derbyshire Learning Online
  • make a pledge: To mark IDAHOBIT and Pride month in June, our Pride Champion Gemma Poulter has organised an information page on the ASCH Connect site which includes a pledge wall. Please take the opportunity to read the pledge wall and please add your own pledge commitments. All departments welcome!
  • you can also use the Pride MS Teams background to show your support

Join the Pride employee network's interactive meeting on Thursday 14 May 2026 at midday. Everyone is welcome. For joining information, email  pride.network@derbyshire.gov.uk.
