Relief deputy registrars wanted

27 March 2024

Our registration service is looking to recruit relief deputy registrars to help with our very busy ceremony programme in the Derbyshire.

This would be ideally suited to colleagues looking for a new opportunity to earn some extra money whilst being involved in what is a very varied and rewarding role.

Successful candidates will be based at one of our registration offices so if you are interested please express your preferred location of either Ashbourne, Bakewell, Buxton, Chesterfield, Glossop, Ilkeston, Ripley or Swadlincote, on your application form. You would be expected to travel to venues to help with registering marriages and civil partnerships in the area. Applicants must be reliable and available to work flexibly to undertake a range of duties.

This is a varied and interesting role which may also lead to you conducting other types of ceremonies, such as naming ceremonies and renewal of vows ceremonies. Full training and support will be given. The role is appointed to on a relief basis that currently has no guaranteed hours or fixed working pattern so offers maximum flexibility.
