Remember to complete the mandatory Prevent training

22 March 2021

Thank you to all staff who have taken the time to complete their Prevent (counter-terrorism) training.

Prevent training was made mandatory for all Derbyshire County Council staff in December 2020 and should be completed every two years.

We have had some really positive feedback on both the eLearning module and the webinar, which can be accessed as a live or pre-recorded session:

"I would definitely recommend this course to my colleagues. I now know what signs to look out for with the families I work with and in the community."

"Useful as an officer of the council in my daily dealings with colleagues and employees, but also in everyday life as well."

"Excellent training. It raised my awareness of things to look out for regarding radicalisation and who to contact if I have any concerns."

If you haven’t completed your mandatory Prevent training yet, you still have time to do it before the June 2021 deadline.

There’s more information on the staff website about Prevent and how to access and complete your training.
