Residents' views sought on the police budget

If you're a Derbyshire resident, you probably already know that a part of your council tax goes towards paying for the police force in Derbyshire.

Derbyshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), is now consulting residents on the policing budget for 2024 to 2025.

The PCC wants to know residents’ thoughts on the amount of council tax they pay that goes towards policing in the county – how much council tax they think would be the right amount to pay to maintain the current standard of policing and to make improvements.

The short budget consultation closes in early January.
