Return your unwanted or unused electronic equipment

14 December 2023

Throughout December and into the new year, our ICT colleagues are running an electronic equipment amnesty.

The team is collecting any unwanted or unused council ICT equipment including laptops, mobile phones and chargers so that these can be reused by other colleagues who really need them. This will help save departments money by cutting down on the need to purchase new items.

Each department is collecting equipment in a slightly different way. If you work for adult social care and health, children's services or place, please see your department's SharePoint communication site for more information. If you work in corporate services and transformation (CST) please return your equipment in the following way:

  1. Place a label on the equipment with the following details:
    CST Amnesty
    FAO Peter Greenhough
    IT Asset Management Team
    County Hall
    Matlock
  2. Leave the item at your Derbyshire County Council office in the place your internal post is collected or drop it in to IT asset management at County Hall (based just off the terrace).

Please take the time to look for any items of electronic equipment that you don't need and return them, no questions asked, to help save money.
