You and your line manager should have regular 1-1 meetings throughout the year as these provide a great opportunity to discuss health and wellbeing, review progress, provide feedback, and identify additional support that may ensure that goals are achieved.
It is also useful to dedicate some regular time to development activities which should be captured, discussed, and recorded in your PDR development plan.
Mid-year PDR review meetings
Line managers should be scheduling mid-year PDR review meetings for October, providing another great opportunity to review progress towards goals and personal development plans as well as make any amendments if things have changed since you set the goals at the beginning of the year.
They also offer an opportunity to provide and discuss feedback on performance which can serve as a useful reminder of progress during end of year discussions.
