It's easy to make a nomination, you’ll be asked a few details about yourself and the person or team to want to nominate, you’ll then need to explain why you think they deserve the award and how they meet the award criteria. Have a look at our existing nominations if you need some inspiration.
Once you submit your nomination, which can be anonymous if you wish, we'll contact the nominee to make sure they are happy to have their nomination published. If they are, we'll add it to the relevant award page on Our Derbyshire so everyone can read about and celebrate their achievements.
The process for selecting the finalists and winners against each category will be done fairly through the appointment of a selection panel. This panel will be made up of a mix of people from across the council and from different types of roles.
They will review the nominations and put the finalists for each category forward to the managing director and executive directors who will determine the overall winners. All finalists and winners will be invited to attend the awards event in May, which has been made possible thanks to our generous sponsors.
