Both events saw a fantastic turnout with thousands of people attending from far and wide. Events like Pride give us an opportunity to promote our services to the local community.
Our presence also sends an important message to our residents and communities, that Derbyshire County Council is a place where equality, inclusion and diversity is recognised, valued and celebrated.
One thing that proved to be very popular at the events was asking people to leave a message of who they love or what’s important to them on the Pride Progess flag.
There is still one more pride event to go this year, and it would be great to see you there! We will be at Derby Pride on Saturday, 10 September, from midday to 6.30pm at Markeaton Park, Derby, and it's free, family-friendly and open to all.
Come and join us to support this local celebration and pin a message on our Pride Progress flag!
